| The Inner Quality of Man | Personal, Social, and Political Implications |
| | | | | | | | The proper use of free will is making decisions guided by our inner quality and higher mind. The improper use of free will is making decisions that are not in keeping with the standards of our inner quality and higher mind.
Just as the scope (or impact) of proper decisions can be vast, so the scope of improper decisions can be vast as well. Decisions that improve the conditions of life for mankind contribute to humanity's transcendence. Decisions that threaten or harm mankind may require countermeasures to ensure humanity's survival.
The challenge for all of mankind is to increase the number of proper decisions and decrease those that are improper. This improvement in decision making can and should occur on both an individual and social basis, but it all begins with the individual.
